Will my symptoms disappear if I use the Women’s Circle body oils?
They may, but more than likely you will always experience some menopausal symptoms. The Women’s Circle Oils are a natural approach to menopause and will help even out the highs and lows of hormonal fluctuations as your body moves through this phase of life. Symptoms will lessen, and you'll feel a sense of calm and wellbeing as you nurture your body, skin, and senses.
Remember that your body is in a deep, important state of change during this time. Rather than wish all your symptoms would disappear, honor and respect this change and know that it is part of a process. If you lean into what is happening and why, rather than resist these changes, you'll likely find some comfort here.

Can I use the Women’s Circle Body Oils if I’m taking estrogen/HRT/am on bio-identical hormones?
No. The essential oils contained in the Women’s Circle formulas have different effects on multiple hormones. Though sometimes plant medicine can be combined with allopathic medicine, in the case of hormones, it’s best to allow one product to work for you, rather than use multiple things that can override each other.

In the future, we will launch a number of products for symptom relief as we grow (such as anxiety, sleep, etc.). These will not contain many of the hormone balancing essential oils, and can be used with hormone replacement therapy. Be sure to join our email list to be notified as these other products launch.

I’ve heard I should stay away from phytoestrogens? Don’t the Women’s Circle II & III contain them?
Phytoestrogens are plant-based estrogens found in many foods, such as soy, flax seeds, beans, peaches, red wine, and more. Not only do these ingredients help supplement estrogen loss as we go through menopause, they also help fight diseases such as cancer and type two diabetes. Phytoestrogens may help prevent bone loss in postmenopausal women and may prevent heart disease.

In our Women’s Circle II & III oils, we use fennel and anise, which contain trans-anethol, an active estrogenic compound. These oils (and herbs we will use in our future Women’s Circle herbal formulas) are a wonderful alternative to traditional estrogen replacement without the risks.

It is important to note that if you have had estrogen dependent cancer or endometriosis, you should avoid phytoestrogens. If you have PCOS, discuss phytoestrogens with your doctor, as it depends on what form of PCOS you have. If you haven’t experienced these issues, phytoestrogens are so helpful in not only reducing menopausal symptoms, but also in helping protect you from various diseases, bone fractures, and more.

My doctor doesn't understand or believe in a natural approach to menopause? What can I do?
We highly suggest finding a female integrative naturopathic physician. Your thoughts and desires should always be honored. Find someone who supports you and makes you feel positive, not frustrated.

How long will it take to see results from the Women’s Circle oils?
The effects on stress relief and the effects on the skin should be experienced immediately. Stress relief is a huge part of managing menopausal symptoms. You should begin to see shifts in how your body manages hormones within 1-2 months. If you're in perimenopause and still menstruating, you should see your PMS symptoms lessen within that 1-2 month time frame.
